Dental Implant Clinic Gloucestershire
At Moreton-in-Marsh Dental Implant Clinic we do our utmost to keep teeth wherever possible as we know a healthy tooth in situ is usually much better than any alternative. However, sometimes it is better to accept defeat and teeth need to be extracted. Teeth can be replaced in several ways:
- A denture – or false plastic teeth
- A bridge, either a stick on one or one where teeth are shaped to fit
- A dental implant retained crown
Over the past few years dental implant retained crowns and bridges have gained in popularity and success. We have learned where and when to place implants to ensure optimal and long life spans.
An implant is a titanium screw that is placed into the jaw bone and left to merge into the bone over a period of a few months. After this time the titanium screw or rod can be loaded by a crown and you would find it difficult to spot the “false” tooth.
Nobel BioCare Dental Implants
Swiss engineering for lasting aesthetic resultsDental Implants can also be used to support a bridge or even a full arch bridge.
We are also finding this kind of work invaluable in helping patients who struggle wearing a lower denture for any length of time.
Dental implants can be placed and the “precision” type attachments are added into the implant that then click into a denture placed over the top. If you struggle to eat and enjoy your food because of a poorly retentive denture then you may wish to give this sort of treatment some consideration.
Not every patient or situation is suitable for an implant and a full assessment wil be undertaken by Caroline first to include x-rays or scans to assess the bone depth and quality
