New Patients Welcome!
It’s been a busy past month at Moreton in Marsh Dental with the quite sudden news that Mr Holeyman of Grafton House Dental Surgery has finally closed his doors after nearly 30 years of dentistry in the town. Although this has come as a bit of a shock to his existing patients I felt it was important to let everyone know that there’s no need to worry as we are on hand to help.
Mr Holeyman had over 600 patients on his books most of whom are based in Moreton but we are also meeting new dental patients from neighbouring villages and towns seeking a dentist in Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Shipston-on-Stour. It’s been the best history lesson about the Cotswolds my team & I have ever had! However, with a sudden influx of new patients we are doing our very best to see everyone that wants to join our plan as soon as possible.
I felt explaining the process of changing could be beneficial as quite a lot of people are arriving at our door in a bit of a pickle as to how to proceed. It’s genuinely a lot easier than you think, as dental records are not the same as medical records and do not need to be transferred when you change dentists. A lot of patients are bringing their record cards in with them but as we are completely digital they are not a necessity, we will, of course, keep them safe for you if that helps.
- The first step is to register with us for a New Patient Consultation which is £50 & takes approximately 30 minutes. There is no extra charge for additional x-rays so don’t worry about hidden costs as we pride ourselves on being completely transparent with our fees. After discussion with either Hannah or myself regarding your teeth & gums we will provide you with a full written estimate that deems you dentally fit.
- Here at Moreton in Marsh Dental we leave gums to Claire, our expert hygienist because it’s her speciality and Hannah & myself concentrate just on the teeth. That in no way means we feel gums are less important though, in fact we always say they are the foundations for everything we do, it is just that Claire is so good we couldn’t possibly compete with her!
- Once the New Patient Consultation is complete and you are deemed dentally fit there is the option to join our Membership Plan, if you so wish. The Membership Plan is £14 per month which allows you 2 x check ups with your dentist & 2 x hygienist visits with Claire, per year. It then provides 20% off the fee list if you require any treatment in the future.
- We have this plan because we feel it is clear & enables our patients to understand what they are paying for but we are getting enquiries regarding larger monthly payments to cover all treatment. This is an option but needs to be discussed with either Hannah or myself at the initial consultation as to how you would like to proceed. We are very flexible as ultimately we want you to receive the best care in the most cost efficient manner for yourselves.
I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact Chloe on reception is you have any other queries.
Best wishes,
Caroline x
